A Spring in Our Step!

This past weekend was one of those weekends that make you so very thankful that you live in south Texas and by golly, we took full advantage of some of the warm weather fun Houston has to offer! We spent a great morning at the zoo and then followed it up with a great afternoon at a downtown park. The boys had a blast and one thing is for sure...this Spring is going to be one heck of a good time!

We Heart the Lake!

We joined the Stoeckel family on a getaway to Lake Sam Rayburn this past weekend. We have been looking forward to going all month and our time at the lake definitely did not disappoint! The kids had so much fun playing jaguars and tigers, hammering the fireplace, and searching for crocodiles on the water (just to name a few). The adults had a blast playing chicken foot, telling stories around the chimnea, and cuddling with the kids on the sunset cruise (just to name a few more). You know you had a great time when you leave thinking only about when you can come back! Thanks again Stoeckel family!

Gettin' Crafty!

The boys and I were feeling super crafty the other day. In fact, we were feeling so super crafty that I decided I had no choice but to blog about it. We started out our crafty day with some pine cone bird feeders, rounded out the afternoon with some diaper box trains, and I finished off the evening at a painting class with friends. We sure had a great time working on all of our projects and are actually pretty proud of the finished products! Of course, proud is a relative term...my tulip picture is proudly on display in the laundry room. : )
