Boys will be Boys and Girls will be Girls...:)

The Fisher men decided that this fall 

was the perfect time to have their 1st ever 

'boys only weekend' at Robert Lee!!

And by all accounts, they had a great of couple of days doing all things boy...

shootin' BB guns, sleepin' in sleeping bags, not takin' pics for momma, 

eatin' steak dinners, buildin' deer blinds, and just simply gettin' real dirty! 

Of course a 'boys only weekend' also means that

Miss Kate and I got a chance to get a whole lot of girly...

we organized toys, mani'd and pedi'd, tea party lunched, 

shopped till we dropped. and even squeezed in a 5k run for good measure!

Sounds like a double win to me!!

Our first furry friend ever passed away last night...

Winter the hamster.

At the funeral...

Kate sang him the ABCD's, 

Bear yelled "I LOVE YOU"

and Jack wrote him a sweet note that read

'I love you Winter. I wish you wr her. We love you. Hamster+Me = Love."

RIP Winter.
No matter how many Winters there are to come...
you will always be the original.

Veterans Day!!

Jack and his 1st grade classmates put on an adorable program

 to honor our veterans and the good ol' U S of A last week!

The program was just too sweet 

and Jack just loved getting to share that sweetness with his sailor boy Grandad.

And yes, I'm pretty sure that feeling was mutual.

Family Campout 2013!!

That's right! 13 super cool campers slept outside this year!!

Well, actually 10 slept outside all night and 3 made it until 3 am...which totally counts in my book!

I mean, who knew that it was possible to have a bathroom emergency 

and a bathroom traffic jam all at 3 in the morning!?!

It's wild out there, people...

Dewberry Days!!

It never feels truly like fall until 

we make a trip out to ol' Dewberry Farms!!

As always, we had an awesome day doing all things Dewberry... 

even adding a 'fried Oreo fest' to the mix this time!!
