Yay, Sea World!

We took our first 'family of four' road trip this past weekend! We joined our very good friends, the Dunsmores, to help them celebrate RoRo's big 2nd birthday with a big day at Sea World! We had fabulous weather (minus the freezing cold wind storm in the parking lot), extremely well behaved children (despite them not having a nap), and very few hiccups along the way (except of course for Jason forgetting to pack his own clothes)! Thanks to Sarah, Shawn, and Roanin for a fantastic weekend full of great memories and wonderful friendship!

A quick stop for diaper changes and bluebonnet pics...nothing like multi-tasking!

What a handsome and lovable group!

Jason and Jack enjoying the Riverwalk

Hayes and I enjoying the boat ride and more than a few fingers

RoRo and Jack taking in the sights

What a little cutie pie!

Sarah and I decide to get a little festive even though the guys don't seem to understand why we would waste 7$ on such a ridiculous getup. Whatever.

The obligatory jammies pic...they just look too cute and cuddly to pass up!

Jack fuels up on some cantaloupe before hitting the Sea World pavement...

During the brief, but treacherous windstorm!

A quick pic before heading in to check out the spooky sharks. Jack kept reminding us "don't ever touch them."

Sea World is so awesome that it even had a race car! Jack was very pumped and walked all around it, checking out every detail...

Most of the boys (minus Hayesee and Baby #2 for the Dunsmores)

The money shot! And yes, I did chase him down if you were wondering (walking whales are faster than you think). Unfortunately, Jack was too busy counting his teeth to look at the camera.

Did I mention yay for Sea World?

A birthday hug for RoRo!

Taking a break outside the alligator pit. Jack also reminded us to not ever touch these bad boys either. Smart boy we've got here!

Time for an ice cream picnic! Yum!

Hayes is happy even without his share of ice cream...

With a full belly, it's time for a little bit of roughhousing! Duh.

The darling Dunsmores

Jack is having a blast feeding the sea lions

Why do little boys look so cute from the back? Could it be because we have trained ourselves to think that since it is so hard to get them to look at the camera? : )

Waiting for the grand finale of dolphin feeding! What a perfect day!

T is for Tractor!

It was a big day around here last week! Jason has been after me for months about how "smart" it would be of us to get a riding lawn mower. Among his many reasons was how much fun he and the boys will have mowing the lawn together. He even threw in that I could maybe spend that time reading a magazine or taking a nap. I don't know if it was the imagined US Weekly or his obvious desperation, but I eventually caved and the big purchase was made. I'm still not quite sure who was more excited when the "tractor" was delivered last week...not only was our "tractor" finally here, but it arrived on a big rig and a fork lift!! And that is just a little slice of Jack's heaven...

That Wascally Wabbit!

We made our annual trip to the Easter Bunny on Monday! Daddy, Gigi, Fran, and Emma also decided to brave the treacherous bunny waters with us. Surprisingly, the kids took no time at all to warm up to the ol' rabbit and spent several minutes waving to him and showing them the cars Jack had brought along for the ride. Of course all of this quickly ended, once they were asked to actually sit on the big guys lap. Once Jack dug in his heals, I decided that instead of traumatize him further (I guess it's the social worker in me), we should just do a family picture. We took this approach with Santa last year and it worked really well. Fran followed suit, but I think she might have been bummed by the lack of drama (obviously she was not a social worker, haha). After all was said and done, we ended up with some super cute pics with not even a single tear shed by anyone! With the bunny behind us, we headed to lunch to catch up and let the kids play. I'm really not too sure how much of an impression the Easter Bunny left with Jack, but I can tell you one thing...Emma left quite a big one! We are really into 'what do you like better?' around here and Emma has been the clear winner against any and all competitors. She even wins when the contest is between green beans and mashed potatoes!!

Our cute little bunnies!

I don't know what they are saying, but they sure are saying it cutely!
