Sleeping Beauties
Not sure how it works in your family, but Jason is the "shut down shop" guy in ours. Each night he turns off all the lights, turns on the dishwasher, locks the doors, turns on the alarm, and then checks one last time on our precious cargo before heading to bed himself. Lately though, I've been joining him on his precious cargo checks and I have to say it is some really, really good stuff. There's just not much better than getting to marvel at our 3 little sleeping miracles and then smile at each other knowingly...yeah, we did this. Pretty 'mouth breathing' awesome, if you ask me. : )

S-L-O-W-I-N-G D-O-W-N
This time of year usually puts me in a little funk. The holidays are over, the weather is kinda crappy, and our fast paced lifestyle (which I thrive on) seems to hit a bit of a speed bump. Not quite sure why, but this year is different for me. I am actually embracing the slow down and enjoying every unplanned minute of it! I have even gone so far as to make one of my resolutions to completely cut the phrase "Come on, we're in a hurry" out of my daily vocabulary. It has proven to be a tad harder than I thought, but I am determined and have decided smelling the roses each and every day is the only way to go...no matter how long it takes or how late it makes us for school. : )

13.1 Baby!!

Robin and I conquered our very first half marathon today! And besides our knees taking a bit of a beating, I have to say that we did seriously awesome!! Our goal was to run the whole way and that is just what we did!! It was a great experience and one that I will be proud of for many years to come...
Thank you for pounding the pavement with me, Robin!! I'd run, walk, or crawl beside you any day of the week!! : )

Sugar and Spice!!
I know most people are under the impression that little boys are wild, destructive, and in to everything. Of course there is definitely some truth to that statement...however (as a new but official mother of both sexes), I am here to say that this house has a need for baby proofing like never before because this sweet little girl is REALLY wild, destructive, and in to EVERYTHING!! : )
