Jason went to the grocery store the other night and in true Jason style came back with a surprise for the whole family. We told Jack that once it warms up a bit, we will try out our new super cool, dual race track, slip-n-slide and in true Jack style he has not let us forget about our promise. It probably wasn't quite warm enough, but the glimpse of sunshine made us throw caution to the wind and break it out this afternoon. Jason and Jack had such a good time that the shivers and purple lips were well worth it. I actually took a couple of runs down too, but decided against sharing the pictures. I mean, I have come to terms with the fact that I am uncoordinated on the dance floor and in aerobics class, but the dang slip-n-slide too? That's just plain sad.

It's Uncle Adam!
We're all about Uncle Adam around here so when he makes it to town it's a real treat for all of us! Nobody looks forward to his visit more than little Jackaroo. He probably asked me "Uncle Adam here?" about a million times while we were patiently awaiting his arrival. Once Adam did get here, Hayes also made sure he felt loved by giving him these intense stare downs that seemed to last just about forever. : ) This last visit was extra special because it happened to also be Adam's birthday. Of course we did the celebrating up big with a birthday party at our house, a day at the Greek festival, a nice dinner at Italian Cafe, and then Sunday brunch with Aunt Becky and Jerry. What a whirlwind! Hopefully, Adam went home with a good enough dose of family to get him through the next month or so. Something makes me think that he definitely did, but not too sure that we got enough of him...

A Shower for the Soulants!
We helped host a baby shower for our great friends Robin and Danny this past Saturday. Even though the day started out super soggy, by party time the weather was just perfect and that made for one very happy and very pregnant guest of honor. We all had such a good time celebrating the newest Soulant who will be making her debut some time in May. I am especially excited to meet little Calleigh and welcome Robin into the moms' club! Robin and I have been friends since college and although we might not have actually grown up together...we have definitely matured together. : ) We have seen each other through just about everything and I pretty much consider her one of the family. We were sorority sisters, maids of honors in each others weddings, and I can't wait for us to finally be moms together! I am sure we will share plenty of laughs as we watch our little munchkins grow and try to remain at least one step ahead of them. Oh and just for the record, I've decided to take back my comment about Robin not being able to handle the whole labor thing. You can totally do it, Robin!! At least, the after the epidural part that is...
A cheers to a healthy baby girl, Hayesees fast recovery, Will & Andy's continued cuteness, Jack's continued studliness, and to all of the other possible babies in our future! That includes you too, Mrs. Crumpler!

What an Egg-Cellent Easter!
We did it up big this Easter and I mean big! We colored eggs, got dressed up all fancy, had a great home cooked meal (care of a local restaurant), and Jack got to hunt eggs three different times over the weekend. At one of his many hunts, the eggs were even dropped from the real-life Easter Bunny who was riding in a real-life helicopter! I am hoping that his 2 and a 1/2 year old brain will soon remember only the excitement of the helicopter and not the fact that the impact of hitting the ground broke most of the eggs beyond repair. : ) Either way, it was a fantastic Easter and we thank you much Easter Bunny!
