This past weekend was a rare treat...all 3 of my college roommates and I were able to get together for a couple of days! To say we needed some catch up time is quite the understatement considering it had been 14 years since we had all been together. Once we were able to swallow that very hard pill, we quickly realized that although a lot had changed...so many of the important things were exactly the same. There is definitely something to be said for a friendship that makes you smile just as much at 34 years old as it did at the ripe old age of 20! Thanks to all of you for making the Cottonwood reunion a reality and even more importantly for your friendships that continue to stand the test of time...

Daddy Dearest!
Just because Grandad is off zip lining through the woods of Alaska, doesn't mean I would miss out in giving him a proper Father's Day shout out. I mean, how could I let such a perfect opportunity to tell him how much I love him go? Not only do I love this dad o' mine, but I also owe him so many thanks for so many things throughout the years...for being a father who was always a calming force, a moral compass, a sideline cheerleader, a loving presence, a helping hand, a positive example, (just to name a few) and for now being a grandfather who my kids pretend to call on the phone, beg to go to his house, and love to hug when he walks through the door. So thank you, Dad, for all of that and so much more. I love you!

Happy Father's Day, Jason! You are larger than life in our eyes! And how cool is it that your two little boys think that you are the king of the jungle, young at heart, AND a local hero who loves them millions? Oh and you definitely can't forget the fact that they think you're still cool enough to have a hot girlfriend! : )

The Lake Life!
What better way to kick off the summer than a return trip to Lake Sam Rayburn?? Gigi and Grandad joined us this time and we had a bunch of fun pretending to be a bunch of lake masters. We spent an afternoon partying on Snake Island, cruised around on our jet skis, met up with some true blue lake studs-The Stoeckels, explored the waters pontoon style, and were even cool enough to get pulled over by the game wardens. Unfortunately, we weren't quite cool enough to get off with just a warning. : ) It was an awesome weekend and we all left with a little touch of lake fever. Good thing I've heard of a pretty good cure for that which ails us. : )
Hear! Hear!
Last week was a big deal for the Fisher boys...not only did Hayes finish up a semester of Kindermusik, but Jack also completed his first year of preschool. And if that wasn't enough, Jason got the great news that all of the long hours and hard work at his new job are finally starting to pay off in a big way. With all of these major accomplishments, I decided that we just had to have a major celebration. Jack wasn't quite sure about what this "celebration" thing was all about, but he quickly jumped on board when I told him that this celebration was all about chocolate chip cookies, icing, and M&M's. : ) So here's to you, my sweet little loves! I couldn't be more proud to be the wife of such a hard working man who somehow finds the energy to play a huge game of chase as soon as he walks in the door with two very energetic little boys who have missed their daddy all day. And I couldn't be more proud to be the mother of those two very energetic little boys who love to help their teachers put things away, always come home with stamps for good listening, finally get the courage to run around the whole circle of kids on the last day of class, and who make their teacher jump up and down when she hears she gets to teach them again next year. Way to go, Fisher boys! A+'s all around!
