We had a fun packed 4th of July here in Pearland! My parents have started to make fun of us and like to call us Mr. and Mrs. Pearland, but we really are having such a good time getting involved in all the stuff the burbs have had to offer this summer. We started off the 4th attending a parade in our neighborhood. We were about five minutes late and since the parade had only about four floats in it we almost missed the entire thing. However the free watermelon, toothbrushes, goofy hats, and beach balls definitely made up for the lack of actual parade. We took the afternoon to regroup and let Jack take an enormously long HOUR nap to gear up for the evening festivities. After relaxing, Gigi and Grandad came over and we set off some very impressive fireworks in our driveway. We then headed off to the local high school for a carnival and fireworks show. Jack was a trooper as usual, but the poor thing just couldn't hold out for the actual fireworks. He snoozed through the whole show and didn't flinch a bit! The funny thing is that when we ask him how the fireworks were, he says that they were "good" and that they "went up in the clouds" Gotta love the imagination!
