Well the weekend wasn't exactly relaxing...with 1 Easter party, 3 egg hunts, 1 scratched cornea, 7 tennis matches, 1 missed church service, 3 kiddos, 1 traumatic trip to party city, 3 pool baths, 1 elusive sandwich tray, 24 colored eggs, 1 moldy house, 2 birthdays, 1 huge terrible two tantrum, 4 house showings, 1 closed lawnmower store, 1 Gigi dunk, and way, way too much Easter candy...BUT it was one heck of a good time! Thank you, Mr. Easter Bunny! See you next year!

Fred-burg!
We have been wanting to do an "adult" trip to Fredericksburg for awhile now and this past weekend the stars finally aligned for us, the Stoeckels, and the Weltys! We had a fabulous time with more than fabulous weather! On day two of our trip...we sat under a shade tree nibbling our snacks, sipping our wine, and contemplating life. : ) After a bit, Laura decided to get downright philosophical and posed a big question to the group..."If kids were not an option and you could spend a day doing absolutely anything, what would you choose to do?" Without a doubt, my answer came fast and furious..."Exactly this, my dear, exactly this." : )

Date Night!
Like most little guys, our boys are big ol' fans of Buzz and Woody so when Gigi and I heard that 'Toy Story 3 on Ice' was in town we figured that it was time for some serious "double date" action! Well, it actually ended up being some serious "quadruple date" action because of one crazy cowboy and a looney space ranger that decided to crash our party as well. The boys were super excited, but I have to admit Gigi and I were a little nervous on how well our little dates were going to take all the late night partying. U see the show wasn't even going to start until way past their infamously early bedtime so it was a toss up on how things were going to go and if they would even be able to stay awake. I'm not sure if it was the great show or all of Gigi's M&M's but amazingly, we ended up having to literally drag our big time party animals out of the arena. And like every good date, Bear waited until the privacy of our own car before his "I NEED a snaaaack" and "I WANT to watch a moooovie" meltdown! : )

Fed to the Bunnies!
It's no secret that the boys adore their little sister. They often talk about how they are never going to let anything bad happen to her. They fight off pretend bad guys who want to "steal their baby". They tell us all the time how they are going to protect her forever. So when I asked the boys if they should take a picture with the Easter Bunny so that their little bitty sister wouldn't be scared up there all alone, I was shocked when I received an adamant, unwavering, clear as a bell "NOPE" as their answer. Oh well, I guess all love has it's limits. : )

Bear of my Heart
There are so many bears in the world, dear, but there's no other one that will do. You are the bear of my heart, dear, and I am the one who loves you. I have so many stories to tell you. I know wonderful places to see. And because we can see them together, they'll be nicer for and for me. Let's race in the sun and be happy. Let's splash in the stream and drip dry. Let's roll down a hill and be silly. Let's lie and watch clouds drifting by. Let's sit nose to nose and share secrets. Let's wish on a star, eyes shut tight. Let's whisper our dreams in the darkness. Let's snuggle together at night. If you need me, I'll be there beside you. If you're lonely, I'll hug you awhile. If you're lost I will be there to guide you. If you're sad, I won't quit till you smile. Paw in paw, we will greet every morning. Paw in paw, we will meet every day. You are the bear of my heart, dear, and nothing can take that away. No matter how big you may grow, dear, or whether we're near or apart, I will love you forever and ever, for YOU are the bear of my heart.
