Trick or Treat!

We have filled the last couple of weeks by doing just about everything Halloweenish that you can do...we made pumpkin cookies, we colored Halloween pictures, we took many a walk to the end of the street to see the big spider, we picked out pumpkins, we wore spooky Halloween shirts, we learned the "trick or treat, smell my feet" song, we watched a Halloween movie, and we topped it all off by having a little Halloween party. We decided that Jack and Hayes would both be little hunters this year. Of course, this was their dad's idea and I think it has something to do with the fact that he is not getting to go hunting as much as he would like this season. You've heard of those parents that live vicariously through their children, right? : ) Jason was very pleased to see that both the boys pulled their camo off like naturals! Not only did Jack wear all pieces of his costume this year, but he had so much fun trick or treating with all of his best buds! I was even a little surprised by what an old pro he quickly became after only a house or two. Unfortunately, Hayesers was hungry right at the exact go time for trick or treating so Jason took one for the team and stayed behind to feed him. Of course, Jack gave them both a full report about the candy he ate and the rats he saw (pretty sure the rats were the more exciting of the two). All in all, we had a great time celebrating this spooky time of year and we hope to make our little "trick or treat" get together a tradition for many years to come!
